ASCO PAC

Thank you for your interest in learning more about the ASCO Association Political Action Committee (PAC). We would like to address the events that occurred on the U.S. Capitol on January 6. We strongly condemn the actions of those who violently attacked the Capitol. Mob violence has no place in American politics nor society, regardless of any stated purpose or cause.

The PAC was founded and formed as a non-partisan tool to advocate for the Association’s legislative priorities. The PAC Advisory Council, made up of a diverse set of our members, reviews and approves all political contributions based on a strict list of guidelines to ensure only champions for cancer research and high-quality cancer care receive our support.

In addition, PAC contribution decisions do not occur in a political vacuum and other criteria may be considered to ensure the PAC is in the best position to advance the Association’s goals on Capitol Hill. Future decisions about political giving will continue to be guided by the Association’s mission and its legislative priorities.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the PAC Manager, Anthony Perez at Anthony.Perez@asco.org.
