ASCO PAC

Dear Association Member:

On behalf of the PAC Advisory Council, I welcome you to the ASCO Association PAC - the political action committee of the Association for Clinical Oncology. Voluntary contributions to the ASCO Association PAC are a unique benefit of your membership, allowing you to support our advocacy goals. Working together, we can combine our resources to amplify our voices on Capitol Hill. By exercising our ability to effect political change collectively, we can further advance our priorities for high quality cancer care and strengthen the cancer research enterprise in this country.

The ASCO Association PAC was formed to help ensure that any policies advanced by Congress enable us to provide high-quality, affordable cancer care to our patients. The PAC will strengthen the advocacy foundation already in place at the Association, by supporting congressional candidates who prioritize policies important to the future of the cancer care delivery system.

With the continued national focus on health care reform, we need all the legislative tools at our disposal to educate and support congressional leaders who share our vision. Member contributions to ASCO Association PAC afford us a seat at the table when these decisions are being made.

Thank you again for your interest in the ASCO Association PAC. It is only through the strong support of members like you that we can accomplish our advocacy priorities and deliver positive change for the cancer care community.

Sincerely,

Thomas Marsland, MD, FASCO, Chair
